ACJ London will launch at Coutts London jewellery week.

19 innovative, contemporary, designer jewellers come together for the first time to exhibit and sell their jewellery in trendy Marylebone, a stones throw away from Regents Park and Bond Street.

Contemporary Jewellery: individually designed and made, something different from the run of the mill, mass produced high street fashions. Truly antiques of tomorrow! Timeless designs to something cutting edge - come and have a look, there is something to suit everyone!!

Styles range from bold, sculptural pieces to delicate, feminine creations

Materials include gold, silver, diamonds, titanium, paper, precious metal clay….

  • Educational opportunity to see and get involved in some of the design process

"Deborah Werbner, is ‘jeweller in residence’ for the duration of the exhibition with her project ‘Mind Games-Interactive Jewellery Design’. Visitors will create inkblot pictures and be asked to describe what they see. Drawing on these
triggered responses and a short questionnaire, a simple piece of jewellery will be designed and made using the casting process. The piece will be available to purchase by the visitor/commissioner in September 2008."

ACJ National

The Association for Contemporary Jewellery is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our quarterly newsletter, findings, features news, reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

Catherine Marche

French Jeweller from Paris, Catherine Marche designs and makes jewellery that is characterised by its chic and elegance, with a hint of French playfulness.
Her pieces are made in high carat gold or sterling silver, playing with the rich colours of precious and semi precious stones and lustrous pearls.
Catherine's collection includes engagement and wedding rings, cocktail rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets.
Catherine also works to commission.

Alexandra Simpson

London based designer jeweller creates original, contemporary pieces that stimulates one’s senses from necklaces that tinkle to rings that sparkle!

Alexandra is passionate about jewellery and has developed her own style which is intricate and feminine. Balance and quality are just as key as beauty is in her gold and silver jewellery. Her specialist technique is carving, her work inspired by nature, romance, fantasy and Art Nouveau.
